Plays and Performances

  • Auditions are held on the 1st day of camp.
  • Campers will need a 1-minute monologue for their audition.

Audition Resources

A monologue is a speech delivered by a single character—holds a special place in the narrative structure of a play or film. The ability to perform a monologue in a way that demonstrates performance ability, imagination, and understanding of a project’s overarching narrative is especially important for young actors.

Here are some great resources for monologues for young actors.

Several sites on line l have wonderful monologues for young people. We recommend choosing a monologue from a published play.

Does every camper get a part?

Yes. Every camper will receive a role in one of three productions.

  • Campers ages 8-12 are cast in one of two productions of Alice in Wonderland.
  • Campers ages 13-17 are cast in James and the Giant Peach

We are not able to determine what time your child’s show will be until the 2nd day of camp.

When are the plays?

On the last 2 days of camp.
