Are you good with kids? Want to be part of one of Gainesville’s most beloved holiday traditions? Join the Hippodrome staff and help Tiny Tim make sure he makes it on stage on time, every time! Be part of the backstage magic that helps make Scrooge’s redemption happen, again and again!

November 22 – December 23, 2024 including mornings, evenings, and weekends. Each show is approximately 3 hours of commitment. 1 hour before start of each show to 1 hour after each show. $15 per hour. Pay is hourly, paid bi-weekly.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise child actors during the shows by being present in the dressing room/rehearsal room where the actors will be between their time on stage.
  • Make sure actors get to their stage entrances on time.
  • Communicate during shows with the Stage Manager on wireless headsets to ensure all actor entrances and movement in the building are monitored and supervised.
  • Report any problems during a show regarding child actors.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy dressing room/rehearsal room.
  • Help maintain proper costume care with actors.
  • Report any safety/sanitary/housekeeping concerns with the Stage Manager
