Planned Giving

As a patron of the arts, you want to make sure that the enjoyment and enrichment you’ve experienced at the Hippodrome will be available to your children and community for generations to come.

From bequests to gifts of retirement plan assets, real property, appreciated securities and a range of life income gifts, the Hippodrome’s development office is prepared to answer your questions and assist you in making artistic excellence part of your legacy.

Through your future gift, you can continue to support the Hippodrome’s artistic work and exceptional arts education and outreach programs. Your planned gifts may be designed for a specific purpose such as the Hippodrome’s professional Mainstage, Cinema or Education Program. Or you could choose to designate your gift unrestricted to give the theatre flexibility to meet needs that cannot be anticipated.

In addition to insuring the continuing excellence of the Hippodrome for future generations there may be tax benefits associated with your gift.  You may leave legacy gifts in the form of life insurance designations, IRA/retirement plans and charitable gift annuities. Due to their special tax advantages, planned gifts may allow you to meet your personal financial objectives while making a significant impact on the artistic and fiscal health of the Hippodrome.  But your greatest benefit will be the satisfaction of knowing that your support for live theatre will live on.

For more information about estate giving, to discuss your options or to inform the Hippodrome of your intentions, please contact Jessica Hurov, Managing Director, (352) 373-5968 ext. 254.
