Sound Engineer - Full-time, Temporary
The Hippodrome Theatre seeks an experienced Sound Engineer for our upcoming production. This position involves live mixing and QLab operation for rehearsals and performances.
Core Responsibilities:
• Live audio mixing and microphone management
• QLab operation and programming
• Sound system maintenance and troubleshooting
• Collaboration with Sound Designer and production team
Required Experience & Skills:
• Professional sound mixing experience
• Live musical theater audio expertise
• Proficiency with wireless/wired mic systems
• Knowledge of miking techniques for vocals and live bands
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated
Technical Requirements:
• Experience with Midas M32 mixer (preferred)
• QLab proficiency (preferred)
• Understanding of show control playback systems
Schedule:
• Start Date: May 20/21
• Show Run: May 30 – July 6
• Possible Extension: Through July 13 or 20
Compensation:
$15/hour, paid bi-weekly
