Hippodrome Theatre to celebrate Fourth of July, honor veterans

Tickets will be $17.76

The Hippodrome will be red, white and Plaid this weekend through Tuesday as the theatre kicks off its Fourth of July celebrations.
The Hipp will observe the Fourth of July by once again extending a free ticket to the summer musical to first responders and those who have served in the military. To claim their free ticket to Tuesday’s 7 p.m. show, they can present a valid ID at the box office before the show or call (352)375-4477 to book over the phone. As a special patriotic tribute, the Plaids will sing the “Star-Spangled Banner” immediately following the show.
Additionally, tickets to all Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday shows will be $17.76. The Hippodrome is proud to show its support for the courageous people who fight for our freedom.

About “Forever Plaid” at the Hipp:
The Hippodrome Theatre’s charming quartet has been stealing hearts with their rockin’ dance moves and perfect harmonies this summer, and now they’ll continue to entertain audiences through July.
Forever Plaid’s run at the Hipp has been extended due to popular demand. Additional show times have been added until July 30, and tickets are on sale now online and at the box office.
Audiences have been gleaming with excitement for “Forever Plaid,” commenting on how much they love the four handsome crooners whose 1950s tunes make hearts smile. This family-friendly musical is a nostalgic joy ride down memory lane and a delightful treat for all ages.
“Forever Plaid” tells the story of Frankie, Jinx, Sparky and Smudge, also known as “The Plaids,” a quartet of male singers who take a detour to heaven on the way to their first big show. They’re getting their final shot at the concert they never gave.
This fun summer musical will be on stage at the Hipp through July. Tickets can be purchased by calling (352)375-4477 or visiting thehipp.org.
