Kiss your Ex Goodbye. Just Kidding. | A NEW Romantic Comedy with Plenty of Drama
The Hipp continues our wonderful partnership with the UF School of Theatre + Dance on another outstanding production: Sarah Ruhl’s Stage Kiss. Previous Hipp/UF collaborations (Avenue Q, Clybourne Park, and Peter and the Starcatcher) have been audience favorites, and we can’t wait to share this New York Times CRITICS PICK with you. Stage Kiss is a charming and clever tale about what happens when lovers share a stage kiss – or when actors share a real one. This romantic comedy blends over-the-top farce with emotional experiences that will bring laughter, fantasy and heart to anyone who has ever been in love…or in a play.
This production contains adult language and situations.
“Suffused with warmth and humor” — New York Times
“Romantic comedy and backstage farce”— New York Times
“Stage Kiss is part parody, part inside-baseball valentine to theater, part falling-down silly physical comedy about love.” – Newsday
“A superb new romantic.”
“It’s moving, smart, and flat-out hilarious.”
8 Shows a Week: Tuesdays-Thursdays at 7pm | Fridays at 8pm | Saturdays at 5 & 8:30pm | Sundays at 2 & 7pm

Discover the art of sake. An age-old staple of Japanese culture and cuisine, the fermented rice wine has recently been winning fans all over the world.
Kampai! For the Love of Sake journeys from rice paddies in Japan to breweries around the globe as it chronicles three passionate exponents of the increasingly popular beverage: a British ex-pat who has become Japan’s first foreign master brewer, an American journalist known as the “Sake Evangelist,” and a fifth-generation Japanese brewer determined to shake up the industry.
Together, their stories form a fascinating snapshot of how ancient traditions are adapting to the demands of a growing global market.
“Enlightening! Taking a cosmopolitan approach to its subject matter, the film follows a trio of admitted sake geeks from different corners of the globe.”
-The L.A. Times
“Kampai! For the Love of Sake is a labour of love. From the filmmakers to the participants in the film, it’s a celebration of sake and the life journey it has provided to many.”
-Smashing Mag
