There is no better way to foster your child’s enthusiasm for art and theatre than through after-school classes at the Hippodrome, Mondays from January 28 through March 4, from 4 to 5:45 p.m.
Our after-school series focuses on acting skills, improv and playwriting. Your children will be able to expand their storytelling abilities by developing character study, writing exercises and performance techniques. You won’t want to miss this action-packed and enriching experience, and neither will your kids!
Classes are available for ages 9 – 17.
For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org, call (352) 373-5968 x 230, or visit thehipp.org/education.
Students will learn how improv can help them unlock creative potential, solve problems, listen and react, and make more effective decisions in this class with Hippodrome Company member Matt Lindsay!
The six-week course begins Monday, Jan. 28, at 6:15 p.m. at the Hippodrome Theatre and meets each Monday through March 4.
Lindsay has utilized his talents onstage and off to develop this series for the Hippodrome Education department. This class is designed for anyone who wants to improve their business and/or interpersonal communication skills.
Each session focuses on a different aspect of these and will work to develop them into strengths.

Thursday, FEB 21st, 6pm rain or shine! Please join us in a fun filled food drive for Bread of the Mighty food bank and a food/supply drive for the Alachua County Humane Society. Helping the less fortunate has never been so easy. Hang out, grab a drink and some food and enjoy the camaraderie of good friends.
We are grateful for all of your support in the past and are hoping for another fantastic turnout at our 3rd food drive at One Love Cafe. Many in our community are currently struggling due to the effects of the government shutdown and our local food banks are always in need of replenishing. Please plan to help support our community in their time of need!
This event will take place at One Love Cafe in Magnolia Parke (4989 NW 40th Place) on Thursday, February 21st and will begin at 6:00 pm. A new band called Propaganda will be making their debut the evening of the event.
Your contribution of non-perishable food items, paper products or toiletries for the Bread of the Mighty and/or food/supplies for the Humane Society would be greatly appreciated. There will also be jars for cash donations.
