Volunteer Opportunity:
Ushering at The Hippodrome
Volunteer as an Usher for The Hippodrome Theatre, and see the production for free!
- Ushers for our Mainstage productions assist the House Manager prior to the show by taking tickets, distributing programs, locating seats for audience members, and assisting those who cannot negotiate the stairs to the second floor (via our historic elevator). In exchange, ushers are allowed one free seat in the audience. (In the event of a sold-out house, ushers get a "rain check" to attend another performance.)
- We currently have Usher Teams in place for regular run nights. Occasionally, the theater needs additional ushers, and groups of ushers for Hold-Overs, absence of regular ushers, etc. Please contact the theatre if you wish to be placed on the alternate list.
- Ushers also assist our Cinema staff by taking tickets from patrons. In exchange, you are entitled to attend that film screening for free.
