Jones Wedding Reception

Newlyweds Elena and Jesse Jones held their reception in the Hippodrome Theatre Basement. Keith Watson Productions transformed the space with a chandelier, lemonade fountain, and luxorious purple and gold fabrics, creating a place where the couple's friends and family could dine and dance in a ballroom fit for royalty.

Brunetti/Pillar Wedding Reception

The Brunetti/Pillar wedding reception was held in the Hippodrome Basement on May 7th. The gator fans proudly displayed their blue and orange, even changing out the Basment's sconce lighting with orange/amber bulbs. Guests sipped wine and beer from glasses with peacock feathers handpainted by the bride herself!

I just provided them with my plans and they took care of the rest! Fabulous! Very honest too! We did a prepaid bar, the hipp sent us home with the leftovers. Bottom line. Williams/Stanley Wedding Reception

Meredith Williams and Jeremiah Stanley hosted their wedding reception in the Hippodrome Theatre Basement, which they transformed into a chic coffee shop. This one-of-a-kind reception also featured authentic country two-steps lessons and a fantastic photobooth!

"My husband and I had our wedding reception in the Hippodrome basement in April of 2011. We LOVED the location--close access to downtown, it's beautiful in pictures and it was great environment for a reception! Scott Wedding Reception

A wedding reception was held in the Hippodrome Theatre Basement. The simple, fun decor revolved around a beach theme with seashells and starfish on each table along with a lovely tiered wedding cake.

Edwards/Klein Wedding Ceremony & Reception

Vibrant teal and bright pink complimented tropical orchids and palms at Mikayla Edwards and Reggie Klein's “Rock the Casbah” themed wedding reception in the Hippodrome Theatre Basement. Before the party, the couple exchanged their vows in the vintage Hippodrome Cinema.

Akkaraju/Vasat Ceremony

At the first traditional Hindu wedding ceremony held at the Hippodrome Theatre,  Haritha Akkaraju and Peter Vasat celebrated their union under a mandap ornamented by sheer fabrics and fresh flowers. Haritha wore a beautiful red and gold sari, and intricate henna adorned her hands and feet.

A luncheon was held in the Hippodrome Theatre Basement prior to a rehearsal for an Indian wedding ceremony to be held on the Mainstage the following day. A total of 30 friends and family of the bride and groom enjoyed a meal amidst colorful teal and white.

The Farren/Caldari Wedding Reception held in the Hippodrome Theatre Basement was an elegant and festive affair for two of the Florida Gators biggest fans!.The facility was proudly decorated in blue and orange, and the cake was even adorned with Albert the alligator!

Casablanca Wedding Photo Shoot

With help from several local wedding and event vendors, the Hippodrome Theatre was transformed into the set of the 1940s classic film Casablanca for an elaborate photo shoot. The day began when the models arrived at the Hippodrome Theatre and got started on hair and makeup in our theatrical dressing rooms. All of the models – bride, groom, cigarette girl, usher, officiate, and wedding guests – then proceeded into the Hippodrome Theatre’s Bar Gallery to enjoy a few treats from the old fashioned concession stand set up with candy, popcorn, and soda by the bottle. Passing a lighted marquee showcasing the Casablanca movie poster, they advanced into the Cinema for the staged wedding ceremony photo shoot. A famous scene from Casablanca was frozen on the movie screen to serve as the perfect backdrop. Next, everyone proceeded downstairs to the Basement, which was beautifully staged as a Moroccan-style wedding reception complete with a Hookah lounging corner, amber lighting, metallic hanging lanterns, copper linens, exotic flowers, and even a belly dancer.
