FL High School Athletic Association Holiday Party

The Florida High School Athletic Association threw a holiday party that was both festive and competative. Keeping with the sporting spirit of the organization, each table had a holiday themed team name and competed against each other in a variety of fun party games.
Barr Systems Holiday Party

Barr Systems held their company holiday party in the Hippodrome Basement, with festive Christmas-colored linens and floral arrangments on our large round tables. Before dinner, the guests played a fun company game of matching their fellow employees with the movie they each said they would want to play the lead in.
Collier Companies Holiday Party

The Collier Companies held their holiday party in the Hippodrome Basement. Collier employees enjoyed hot deli fare and party platters from Publix and dessert from Cupcakes by Candace. To make the event fun and festive, they had a DJ, photo booth, and a hot cocoa bar.
UF Filipino Student Association Semi-Formal

The UF Filipino Student Association held their "Once Upon a Winter's Night" semi-formal in the Hippodrome Basement. The organization went all out with the decorations, both inside and outside, using snowflakes, a faux tree, and twinkling christmas lights to transform the space into a winter wonderland.
Ball Corporation Blue & Silver Holiday Party

Ball Corporation held the first of their two company holiday parties in the Hippodrome Basement. The company's blue and silver teams kicked off the holidays with food by Custom Caterers, live music, and adorable Santa center pieces.
Gamma Eta Sorority Formal

Gamma Eta, a sorority on the Multicultural Greek Council, held their around-the-world themed formal in the Hippodrome Basement. The small group of sisters and their dates had plenty of room for dancing, using only a few dinner tables that were each decorated with a different country in mind.
Rebecca Johnson’s Baby Shower

Friends and family gathered at the Hippodrome for a baby shower honoring expectant mother Rebecca Johnson. The small event was held in the Hippodrome Art Gallery, which is currently featuring work by artist James Lasley.
Shahnaz Sultan’s Surprise Birthday Party

Invitees went wild at an African themed surprise party for Shahnaz Sultan's Birthday. The Hippodrome Basement was ready for a party, with plenty of space for the DJ and dance floor, specially ordered Tusker beer, and tables decorated with wild animal prints and pictures of Shahnaz's many adventures and accomplishments.
UF Veterinary Medicine Reception

The UF College of Veterinary Medicine held their annual fall reception at the Hippodrome for the fourth year in a row. Previously, this graduate student meet and greet took place in the Bar and Art Galleries, but this year they moved the gathering to our beautifully renovated basement.

UF Law School Networking 101

The UF Law School was all business at their networking event held in the Hippodrome Basement. With the basement's natural open space and our high top tables, law students had the chance to mix and mingle with attorneys, making professional connections for their future legal careers.
Oak Hall Prom 2010

About 100 excited students from Oak Hall School danced the night away at a Phantom of the Opera themed prom night in the Hippodrome Theatre Basement. They enjoyed food from Liquid Ginger and music from Jay's Entertainment.

Thomas Wedding Anniversary Party

"We had our 25th anniversary party at the Hippodrome Cinema recently because that’s where we had our wedding reception. It’s a great location, great atmosphere, and the staff worked with us to provide everything we needed. We were even able to have my band play, as we did when we were married, because we chose a date between performances in the theater. It’s not cheap, but it’s worth it."
