Pocketbook Magazine Premier Party

Pocketbook Magazine, a new publication for women in Alachua County, held their chic premier party in the Hippodrome Basement. The first 100 guests received swag bags full of goodies and everyone at the event received a copy of Pocketbook Magazine's first issue.
GAIN Fast Pitch

The Gainesville Area Innovation Network (GAIN) held their 2nd annual Fast Pitch event in the Hippodrome Basement on August 18th. The business version of speed-dating, entrepreneurs had three minutes to pitch their idea to a table of investors, mentors, and service providers. After three more minutes of discussion and feedback they moved on to the next table. At the end, investors voted for who had the best pitch and would get to take home the Fast Pitch Bat!

Hospitality Council Meeting 2011

In celebration of Gainesville's Hospitality Week of 2011, members of the city's Hospitality Council met at the Hippodrome Theatre on May 11th, 2011. Guests walked the red carpet into the building, were photographed in true poparazzi fashioned, and headed into the Cinema for a presentation of a short video highlighting local attractions. The group then moved down to the Basement for a buffet lunch catered by the Eastide High School Culinary Program.
Dance Alive Poker Night

Dance Alive National Ballet of Gainesville, FL transformed the Hippodrome Theatre Basement into a casino on August 25th. Guests at the Poker Night Fundraiser enjoyed Poker, Blackjack and Roulette at "gambling" tables hosted by the professional dancers.

Keira Grace Foundation “Share the Cure” Fundraiser

The Keira Grace Foundation -- a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit whose mission is to bring hope, restoration and life to children with cancer in developing countries -- hosted their 2010 Share the Cure Fundraiser at the Hippodrome Theatre on March 27th. Guests watched a beautiful dance performance on the Mainstage before proceeding to the Basement for dinner and dancing.
