Meet the Actors of

Jennifer Anderson (Red)

Jennifer is so excited to return to the Hippodrome! Last year, she appeared as Lin in the summer hit The Great American Trailer Park Musical. Other Hippodrome credits include Alice in Wonderland (Dutchess) and A Christmas Carol (Solicitor/Mrs. Dilber). A  UF graduate with a degree in Musical Theatre, some of Jennifer's favorite roles include Dolly in Hello, Dolly!, Erma in Anything Goes, and Sally Brown in You're A Good Man Charlie Brown. Rachel Anton* (Green)

Rachel is so excited to be back at the HIPP where she was last seen in 8 Track, Sounds of the 70's. A native New Yorker, Rachel has performed Off - Broadway, and Regionally. Favorite credits include; Eva Peron in Evita, Narrator in Joseph..., Diana Morales in A Chorus Line, and Chava in Fiddler on the Roof. She is also a songwriter. Rachel's voice can be heard on numerous national TV and Radio Commercials, as well as animated cartoons. She would like to thank Kelly and Jason for giving her a second home in Florida! Lauren, Lizz, Judy, Tammy, WDPSIV and Rocky for bringing her back!! Thank you to Mom, Cousin's and friends for their eternal love and support. This show is dedicated to my Dad - I know you are watching from up above and I hope I am making you proud, I love you!

Kelly Atkins* (Blue)

Kelly is thrilled to return for her third consecutive summer musical at the Hipp! Faithful audiences will remember her as Pippi, the Stripper, in The Great American Trailer Park Musical and from 8 Track: the Sounds of the 70's. She also portrayed the title role in last season's Alice in Wonderland. Since her appearance as Alice, she has performed at American Stage as Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, and at the Show Palace in the title role of Victor/Victoria. Other favorite regional credits include My Way: a Tribute to Frank Sinatra at Florida Studio Theatre, The King and I (Anna), Steel Magnolias (Shelby), Lost in Yonkers (Bella), and Showboat (Magnolia) at Alhambra Dinner Theatre, My Fair Lady (Eliza) and Camelot (Guenevere) at Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre, and Sweeney Todd at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. In addition to appearing onstage, Kelly can be seen and heard in countless commercials, print ads, voiceovers, and industrials. She received her BFA in Music Theatre from Shenandoah Conservatory, and lives at the beach in Jacksonville with her husband, Jason. Mackenzie Curran (Yellow)

Mackenzie is delighted to be spending another summer at the Hippodrome after playing Pickles in last year’s record-breaking show The Great American Trailer Park Musical. She also appeared on the Hippodrome stage as Miss Poppenghul in Moonlight and Magnolias. Since then, Mackenzie has kept busy working towards her BFA degree in musical theatre at the University of Florida, appearing in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum as Philia, Songs for a New World, and the classic opera La Traviata. Mackenzie plans to finish her degree in December and move to the Big Apple! As always, she thanks the Lord for his blessings and sends love to her family.



Lauren Hathaway* (Orange)

Originally from Los Angeles and now a resident of New York City, Lauren is delighted to be joining the cast of Shout!  The Mod Musical, here at the Hippodrome.  Lauren has played Gypsy Rose Lee in many productions of Gypsy around the country opposite such stars as Betty Buckley, JoAnne Worley, Pamela Myers, and her own mother, Charlene Kase, in the long running Las Vegas production, (alongside her dearest friend and beloved Hipp actress, Catherine Fries Vaughn, who played her sister June, in that production).  In fact, Lauren has gone back and forth many times between a Bob Mackie rhinestone-studded g-string in Gypsy, to habit-wearing, Maria in The Sound of Music, playing theatres throughout Southern California, and Texas, most notably The Austin Musical Theatre, (opposite Broadway’s Mark Jacoby).  In Wichita she played Christine in the Yeston/Kopit Phantom!, for The Music Theatre of Wichita, (opposite Richard White), and Babe in The Pajama Game.  She has also had the opportunity to repeat the roles of Tevye’s eldest three daughters, Tzeitel, Hodel and Chava, in six productions of Fiddler on the Roof throughout the country.  On the east coast she has played Mary Bailey in Sheldon Harnick’s A Wonderful Life, (for Theatre Virginia in Richmond), Oolie in City of Angels, and Amalia in She Loves Me and enjoyed six months on the S/S Norway appearing as Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls, guided by stellar director and Broadway star, Ron Husmann.  Lauren has received three Los Angeles Drama-Logue Critic’s Awards for her portrayals of Lili in Carnival, Louise in Gypsy, and Maria in The Sound of Music.  She is currently sharing a wonderful life and her first year of marriage with the man of her dreams, Robert Libbey.
