Let the British Invasion begin! SHOUT! The Mod Musical will rock you all summer long at the Hippodrome. Don't miss this blast to the past from the other side of the pond. It's groovy, baby!

With a shimmy and a shake, SHOUT! travels through time from 1960 to 1970 through music, fads, dances and hairstyles in England at the time. Your ears will be treated to such mod musical treats as: Downtown, Don't Sleep on the Subway, Son of a Preacher Man, These Boots Were Made for Walking, Wishin' and Hopin,' Windy, Georgy Girl, To Sir With Love and SHOUT! If you're a Bond - James Bond - fan, you'll also witness a unique tribute known as "Coldfinger."

Side-by-side the fantastic musical stylings are "mod musings and groovy gab" created by Peter Charles Morris. The songs are tied together with these funny sound bytes from the period including 60s advertisements and lonely hearts letters answered by an advice columnist who thinks every problem can be solved with a "fetching new hair style and a new shade of lipstick."

SHOUT! is more than just a tribute to the music and fads of the 60s, however. It's also a journey of 5 women (4 Brits and a Yank) who spring to life from a magazine and redefine who they are in the face of the changing era. Attitudes about sex, drugs, careers and the latest Beatle to make their hearts leap are brought to life through 5 charismatic birds.

Meet the mod squad: Orange (Lauren Hathaway) is domestic and maternal, but you never know what lies beneath. Red (Jennifer Anderson) is young and idealistic with her whole life in front of her. Yellow, the American (Mackenzie Curran) is adventurous and enthusiastic and seldom looks before she leaps. Green (Rachel Anton) is playful and passionate (and loves to shag!). Blue (Kelly Atkins) is cool and sophisticated and certain of what she wants. Together, these ladies will entertain you all summer long with their opinions, fashions and vocal gymnastics. Imagine the television show Laugh-In combined with Beehive (that other Hippodrome musical hit) and you'll get a sense of the treat awaiting you.

At the helm of this musical powerhouse are the talents of Lauren Caldwell (Director) & Bryan Mercer (Musical Director) - the same team that brought you The Great American Trailer Park Musical last summer. You won't want to miss another rockin' Hippodrome summer invasion. It'll make you want to SHOUT!
