Alligator Review
Considered by many to be the "Great American Novel" of the 20th century, Harper Lee's 1960 Pulitzer Prize-winning work in this stage adaptation follows Scout, a little girl in rural Alabama in 1935 as she tries to unravel the mysteries of life in that time and place. There's the trial of a black man accused of assaulting a white woman; the mysterious gifts left anonymously in the knothole of a tree; the legendary Boo Radley, the unseen boogey-man neighbor; the enigmatic Atticus Finch, her country lawyer father. As Scout tries to solve the mysteries around her, she leads us on an expedition into the human spirit, through danger and injustice, through tragedy and triumph and on to understanding.
