Extra Duties
As well as working in their specified area all full time interns will be responsible for the following:
- Marketing assignments during morning, afternoon, and evening hours that includes, but is not limited to postering, mailings, and other marketing distribution needs
- All interns are required to assist on all opening night duties.
- All interns are required to strike each Mainstage show that they are contracted during.
- The Intern shall report promptly to all work call times at the specified times given by Supervisor or Intern Coordinator.
- An Intern is expected to be on call for the Hippodrome State Theatre at all times during his/her internship. The only grounds for leaving town on days which are not regular days off are business or personal emergencies. A leave of absence will be granted at the discretion of the theatre. Notice must be given to the Intern Coordinator and the direct Supervisor.
- Outside employment is not permitted unless otherwise stated in contract.
- All interns will work in various areas of the theatre.
- Work assignments will all be made on a competitive basis.
- Auditions or interviews for employment will be at the discretion of the management.
- For Actors and Assistant Stage Managers, EMC credit will be awarded to those who qualify for such credit as determined by Actor’s Equity Association. The Hippodrome State Theatre, Inc. assumes no responsibility for awarding EMC credit.
