Based on a true story and adapted from “Illness”, a 2013 award-winning short film, “No Letting Go” is a feature-length drama that follows one family’s journey to understand and to cope with the erratic behavior and emotional instability of their middle son, Timothy.
The film is based on screenwriter Jonathan Bucari’s personal experience and depicts the potentially-devastating impacts of mental health disorders affecting 1 in 5 children in the United States every year.
An open-forum panel discussion featuring area leaders in mental health services will follow the screening. Proceeds from the event benefit the Meridian Behavioral Healthcare’s Center for Building Healthy Families, which provides child- and parent-centered services designed to integrate positive change into family units earlier, where treatment can be most effective.
Space is limited. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at http://buytickets.at/meridian.
