Participate as a part of the Hippodrome Theatre by supporting and working with our Marketing Team.  This internship includes working at the theatre during weekday office hours as well as during evening/weekend Mainstage performances. Positions are available for Summer and Fall 2017.

Essential Position Functions

Sales focused:

  • Table before Mainstage performances and during intermission, answering patron questions, acting as a public face for the building, selling Hippodrome subscriptions packages and/or gift card promotions
  • Table at community events, promoting Hippodrome programming and distributing marketing materials
  • Organize and complete local postering routes
  • Pick up and deliver marketing materials

Design focused:

  • Design newsletters, print advertisements, flyers, and online advertising
  • Create website and social media graphics based on style guide, production themes, and artistic vision
  • Work with local radio stations on scheduling interviews and giveaways
  • Promoting and selling annual subscriptions

Skill Requirements

  • Flexibility, positive attitude, and a willingness to commit to long hours, hard work, and a demanding schedule. Evening and weekend hours are required.

  • Knowledge of Gainesville area
