The Following Internships are Available for SUMMER 2017
The Hippodrome Theatre’s Internship Program offers hands-on experience in the region’s premier professional theatre and cultural center.
Interns work closely with our staff and guest artists. Each intern is responsible for accomplishing goals set by his/her departmental supervisor. Many departments at the Hipp include project-based activities, providing our interns with opportunities to work independently and see their efforts come to fruition.
Benefits of a Hipp Internship
Send your cover letter cover letter, resume/CV, and references as .doc or .pdf files to: email@example.com.
Put your name and the name of the internship(s) to which you are applying in the subject line of the email. Example: Maria Lopez – Education Internship.
Applicants in production, such as costumes or props, may also send a digital portfolio of relevant images.
You will be contacted via phone or email ONLY if you are selected for an interview or asked to supply additional information. Not all applicants will be asked to interview. We receive a high volume of internship applicants, so we are not able to provide status reports on the review process.
At this time, we accept script submissions from professional agents only. Small casts (up to 8) and unit sets are preferred. We primarily produce contemporary comedy and drama. The best time for agents to submit is between November and February. Professional agents only may send a full script along with any other press and support materials. Our season is usually selected by the end of April.
