The Actor’s Tools - Students will develop their acting technique, and acquire general tools to equip their acting tool belt! Improv games and class exercises, including work with monologues and scenes, will help students learn about character development, stage presence, objectives & tactics, vocal work, and body/mind awareness. They will leave the class with basic knowledge of acting and performance technique that they can use in the many different styles of performance. Optional - to help us better understand your child’s experience, your son/daughter may prepare to perform or read a short monologue for the 1st day of class.

Teen Ensemble Class (Ages 13-17)
Musical Theatre - This class gives an overview of the musical theatre acting process. Both beginners and experienced students will be challenged by exercises designed to explore the connection between song and movement, understanding why a character sings instead of speaking text, and reaching the emotional peak to justify bursting into song. All students will participate in a showcase highlighting these basic principles from some of the most beloved classics and uncharted contemporary songs from the musical theatre canon. To help us better understand your teen's musical experience, please have your son/daughter ready to sing a song of their choosing for the 1st day of class (preferably in musical theatre style, but anything that they're comfortable with, that shows off their voice).
