steven dietz   
is a playwright and director whose work has been staged throughout the United States at such theaters as The Old Globe in San Diego, Actors Theatre of Louisville and the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. His award-winning play, God's Country, has been produced in the U.S. as well as in Johannesburg and Pretoria, South Africa. Dietz has also been awarded the PEN USA Award in Drama, the Outer Critic's Circle Nomination and the Drama-Logue Award for 
Lonely Planet which has been produced off-Broadway and at numerous regional theaters throughout the country including the Hippodrome (November, 1995). Dietz other plays include Handing Down the Names, Trust, Halcyon Days, Ten November, Foolin' Around With Infinity, More Fun Than Bowling, Private Eyes, Still Life With Iris and The Nina Varaitions. Dietz has directed the world premier productions of John Olive's The Voice of the Prairie, Kevin Kling's 27-A and Jon Klein's T Bone 'n' Weasel. His adaptations include Shusaku Endo's Silence (Yomuiri Shinbun Award in Japan), Joyce Cheeka's The Rememberer (Lila Wallace/Readers' Digest Award) and Bram Stoker's Dracula
