Gregory Jones as Jacob Marley

Adapted for the stage by Mary Hausch

December 2-21

Comedy, drama, thrills, chills, dazzling lighting and special effects and one of the greatest stories ever told ... it's all in the 20th Annual Production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. In Mary Hausch's adaptation, Jacob Marley is your narrator and guide as he ushers the meanest man in the world through his nocturnal journey into the forgotten joys and heartbreaks of his Past, the everyday wonders of a Present that he is barely aware of , and up to the brink of a fearful Future which awaits all men like Scrooge, who do not "open their hearts freely."
A Christmas Carol is a must for all ages, and the perfect event to get you into the holiday spirit!

As in years past, the Hippodrome will be collecting canned goods and new toys for the disadvantaged.
Over the years, numerous organizations in the Gainesville area including the Salvation Army, SPARC and the Sidney Lanier Center have come to depend on the Hippodrome's food and toy drive to help brighten the holidays for the less fortunate.
Our suggeted donation is two canned food items or one new toy per admission.
Please help keep this holiday tradition alive!
