Rusty Salling as Ebenezer
Scrooge
|
The Hippodrome returns to Charles Dickens'
London of 1843 for the 19th time to retell the ghostly tale of literature's
most miserly and mean-spirited curmudgeon, Ebenezer Scrooge.
Journey with Scrooge through the longest night
of his life, when the Spirits of the Past, Present and Future show him
the error of his ways.
Along the way we meet the long-suffering yet
loyal clerk, Bob Cratchit and his family, including the angelic Tiny Tim,
the doomed ghost of Jacob Marley dragging his chains through eternity,
the silly, joyful Mr. and Mrs. Fezziwig, the festive duo from Scrooge's
youth, and the beautiful Belle, whose love he lost many years before.
Although alive with eye-popping special effects
and hysterical humor, A Christmas Carol remains a journey of the
human spirit, demonstrating the worst and best that we can be.
