Lunch
Please send a bag lunch (including beverage) with your child every day.  Students will not be allowed to leave the building to get lunch.  You may also want to send snacks with your child for the morning and afternoon break. Please send no foods that require preparation; no microwave, refrigerator, or soda/snack machine will be available.

Appropriate Attire
Students will be climbing stairs thoughout the day and backless shoes can be dangerous. Therefore we suggest tennis shoes or closed shoes. Students will be moving a lot in most of their workshops, and will often be sitting on the floor.  They should wear clothes they can move in comfortably and which can get a little dusty.
For the technical theater class, please send a smock or cover up (an old oversized shirt, for example) that will protect their clothing from paint, glue, make-up, etc.

Hippodrome Guidelines

We hope you will have a terrific time and we are very excited to have you in our classes.  The Hippodrome is a professional theater, and in order to maintain a professional atmosphere, we ask you to abide by the following:
•It is very important that all cast members attend all rehearsals and learn their lines. Students may be reassigned to a non-performance activity if the Director determines that these requirements are not being met.
• Please do not bring glass containers. Gum chewing is prohibited.
After arriving at the Hippodrome, you are expected to stay on the premises until an authorized person picks you up.
All pianos are off-limits.
• Headsets, video games, etc. are prohibited in class.
• Please do not go anywhere in the building without a teacher’s knowledge and permission.

DISMISSAL POLICY

The Hippodrome reserves the right to dismiss any student from the program for behavior that jeopardizes the safety of the participants and staff and/or disrupts the learning, rehearsal or production process. Bringing alcohol, drugs or weapons to the program will be cause for automatic dismissal.  The Hippodrome will not provide a tuition refund for any child dismissed for behavioral reasons.
