Lauren Hannahs hails from Upstate New York and has relocated to Gainesville to step into the role of Director of LGBT Affairs at the University of Florida. While a graduate student at Syracuse University studying Higher Education Administration, Lauren worked as the graduate assistant at the Syracuse University LGBT Resource Center and instructed Intergroup Dialogue courses. In addition to the full time responsibility at UF, Lauren currently serves as a Research Associate for the Queering Education Research Institute based out of Central New York.
