Children and teens from the greater Gainesville community will perform in three productions at the conclusion of the Junior and Teen Summer Spectacular Theatre Camps, four-week camps designed to cultivate lifelong appreciation in the arts. The lovable Tom Sawyer and his pals take us back to the sweet summer days when sternwheelers commanded the mighty Mississippi. A time when kids fished, teased schoolmates and stole kisses in the schoolyard. From the opening flourish of the fiddle to a closing joyous leap into the Mississippi, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a winning combination of adventure, humor and nostalgia.
