The River Phoenix Center for Peacebuilding in collaboration with the Hippodrome Theater will be hosting a panel of experts and youth who have been on both sides of the bullying issue. Hearing direct stories of what it’s been like for some of our youth to live with fear going to school or walking home and how they overcame these everyday challenges. Adults who work with this issue and have seen the effects on children will be available to answer questions and enter into a facilitated dialogue on ways to address this pressing and complicated issue.
Please join us after the movie to engage in this most important and timely discussion on the effects of bullying and how to stop it.
The River Phoenix Center for Peacebuilding is dedicated to breaking the cycle of violence and creating a safer community. Bullying is an issue that impacts not only the individual; it steals the confidence and productivity of citizens young and old; it promotes depression, isolation, even harming oneself. It is time to make peacebuilding a coordinated community effort so that everyone learns to resolve conflict through communication and healthy relationships with self, others and the environment. The River Phoenix Center offers programs and services throughout the community - www.centerforpeacebuilding.org
